Bar Partner and Billing Terms

These terms are between Chasr and the bar you run. They cover listing your venue, posting deals, what you are responsible for, and how fees work. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If something here conflicts with a sales conversation, this page wins unless we have both signed something different.

When these terms apply

They apply when you claim a venue on chasr.club, post a deal or event, upload photos, or start a paid plan. By doing any of those you confirm that you are authorized to act for the venue and to agree to these terms on its behalf.

We only bill a bar that has accepted these terms. Your bar accepts them in your dashboard, under Settings, Plan and billing, or by starting Premium through Stripe Checkout there. Until then, every activation still shows on your Money tab, but none of it is ever invoiced. Fees apply only to activations that happen on or after the day your bar accepts.

What Chasr shows for your bar

Chasr is a free app for people 21 and over. For your venue it can show your name, location, hours, photos, contact details, deals and events, a live crowd level, a rating, and a short summary of public reviews.

Some of this comes from you. Some is gathered automatically from public sources, such as your website, your public social media posts, and public listings and reviews, sometimes with the help of AI. How that works, and how to correct it, is on our AI and Automated Content page. Once you claim your venue, what you post in the dashboard is what we show for your own deals, and you can ask us to fix or remove anything else at any time.

Your deals

A deal you post is your offer to guests. Honor it as written, on the nights and during the hours you set. If it changes, edit it or end it in your dashboard before anyone walks in expecting it.

Each deal carries a guest price: what a guest pays for the deal. Enter it accurately. It is the number fees are calculated from, and you can see it on every ledger row.

Do not post a deal that offers unlimited drinks for a set price, two or more identical drinks for one price (such as 2-for-1 or buy one, get one), a free drink, or anything else that rewards drinking more. Michigan's liquor rules do not allow those offers, and a deal you post goes live in the app without anyone at Chasr approving it first, so getting this right is on your bar. We can decline, edit for length or clarity, or remove any deal or event, and we take down any offer like those as soon as we find it.

Liquor law, ID, and service

Chasr does not sell, serve, or deliver alcohol, and is not a party to any sale. Your bar is solely responsible for complying with the Michigan Liquor Control Code, the rules of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, and every other law that applies to what you sell, how you price it, and how you advertise it, including every deal you post on Chasr. Our review of a deal is not legal advice and is not approval that it complies.

You check ID. Guests tell the app they are 21 or older; we do not verify it. A Chasr account or pass is never proof of age or identity. You decide whom to serve and when to stop serving, exactly as you would without the app.

Plans and fees

Free$0 a month, plus 20% of the deal's guest price for each billable activation.
Premium$99 a month, plus 15% of the deal's guest price for each billable activation.

Both plans include:

  • Your bar on the map, with photos, hours and profile
  • Post deals and events, set nights, windows and caps
  • Tonight's numbers: who is here and what was activated
  • The Money tab: every tap, every fee, every exclusion

Premium adds, for as long as the subscription is active:

  • Push notifications to the people who follow your bar
  • Top Deal promotion: the gold badge and the top of Hot right now
  • Your bar's name on its map pin
  • Real analytics: nightly history, the hours offers get claimed, per-deal numbers

Push notifications to your followers, Top Deal promotion, your name on your map pin, and analytics beyond tonight's numbers are Premium only. A Free bar does not send follower pushes.

Each fee is rounded to the nearest cent. There is no minimum fee. Fees are a share of the deal's guest price only, never of anything else a guest buys. Every activation is recorded with the plan and rate in effect at that moment, so changing plans never reprices a night that already happened.

What an activation is

An activation is a signed-in guest pressing Use deal on one of your deals in the app, which opens their pass. It is counted at that moment. It does not depend on a bartender confirming the pass, and it is not a record that the guest bought anything. You control your exposure with the nightly cap and the per-guest limit on each deal.

Never billed

These activations are recorded but never billed, on either plan:

  • activations past the deal's nightly cap that night
  • reward passes guests earn by levelling up in the app
  • guests who are not signed in with a phone number
  • Chasr founders, ambassadors and staff
  • demo and test venues
  • a deal with no guest price

Your dashboard's Money tab shows every activation the night it happens, billable or not, with the reason.

Free through December 31, 2026

Nothing is charged for any activation on or before December 31, 2026. Free never needs a card. If you start Premium before then, Stripe collects a card at checkout and the subscription runs as a free trial until January 1, 2027, when the first $99 is charged.

Invoices and payment

  • Activation fees are invoiced monthly, in arrears. Around the 3rd of each month, Stripe emails an invoice for the previous month's billable activations to your billing email. It is due 14 days after it is sent, and you pay it on a page Stripe hosts. The first month that can be invoiced is January 2027, invoiced in early February 2027. A month with nothing billable makes no invoice.
  • Premium is a monthly subscription charged in advance to the card you give Stripe at checkout, until you cancel.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Fees do not include any taxes that may apply. Those are your responsibility.
  • If an invoice is still unpaid 30 days after it is due, we may pause your deals and Premium features until it is paid.

Disputing a night

If a night looks wrong, press Dispute next to that night on your Money tab within 120 days of it, with a note if you like. If the night has not been invoiced yet, its billable activations are held off your invoice until we review them. If it has already been invoiced and we agree with you, the difference comes back as a credit. You can also dispute through our contact page. We will tell you what we decided and why.

Price changes

We will give you at least 30 days' notice, by email and in your dashboard, before any change to your plan's price or rate. A new rate applies only to activations after it takes effect. If you do not want the new price, you can cancel before then.

Cancel any time, no exclusivity

There is no contract term and no minimum. Cancel Premium from Manage billing in your dashboard: your bar returns to Free at the end of the period you have paid for. To stop entirely, end your deals and use our contact page to take your account off the venue. Fees for billable activations that happened before you stopped are still owed.

You are free to promote your bar anywhere else, and we list other bars. Neither of us is exclusive to the other.

Your photos and content

You keep ownership of the photos, logos, text and other material you give us. You allow us to display, resize, and crop it in the app, on chasr.club, and in posts that promote your bar on Chasr, for as long as your venue is listed. You confirm you have the right to share it.

Guest information

You see your own venue's numbers as counts, and a single pass at the moment your staff confirm it. You never see a guest's phone number, location history, friends, or activity at other bars. Do not use anything you see through Chasr to identify, contact, or track a guest outside the app. How we handle guest information is in our Privacy Policy.

Removal and suspension

We can decline or remove a claim, a deal, an event, or a photo, and we can suspend a venue account that breaks these terms, refuses posted deals at the door, or puts guests at risk. We will tell you why, by email, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.

Responsibility and limits

Chasr is provided as it is. We do not promise any number of guests, activations, or sales, and crowd levels and analytics are estimates.

Your bar is responsible for, and will cover Chasr's reasonable costs of, any claim that arises from your deals, your service of alcohol, your premises, or your breaking these terms or the law.

To the extent the law allows, Chasr's total liability to your bar under these terms is limited to the fees your bar paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and neither of us is liable to the other for lost profits or indirect losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Anything we cannot sort out between us is handled in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.
