Terms of Use

These are the rules for using the Chasr app and chasr.club. By creating an account or using either one, you agree to them, to our Community Guidelines, and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Chasr.

Who can use it

You must be 21 or older. You confirm your age when you sign up. That is your statement, and we do not verify it. It is not an identity check and it is not proof of legal drinking age. A bar can still ask for ID and refuse you.

One account per person. Sign up with a phone number that is yours, and do not create accounts to collect extra points, passes, or rewards.

Your account

Your phone number is how you sign in, so you are responsible for what happens on your account. Never share your sign-in code or your password. If you lose your number or think someone else is using your account, message us in the app (Settings → Message Us) or use our contact page.

Your handle must not impersonate someone else or be offensive. We can change or remove a handle that breaks these terms.

Text messages

Chasr sign-in codes. When you enter your phone number on the sign-in screen, or confirm a new number in Settings, we text that number a one-time six-digit code. That is the only text message Chasr sends. It is never marketing.

  • How often: one message each time you ask for a code, plus one more if you ask us to resend it.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Help: reply HELP, see our Support page, or message us in the app (Settings → Message Us) or use our contact page.
  • Stop: reply STOP to stop messages to that number. We will not be able to send it sign-in codes until you reply START.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Enter only a phone number that is yours. How we handle your number is in the Privacy Policy.

Deals are the bar's offer

Chasr does not sell, serve, or deliver alcohol, and is not a party to anything you buy at a bar. We show you deals. Bars offer them and decide whether to honor them. A deal can be withdrawn, sold out, limited to certain hours, or refused, and we do not guarantee any offer will be available when you arrive. The bar decides whom to serve.

Some deals are posted by the bar itself. Others are gathered automatically from public sources and can be out of date or wrong; how that works is on our AI and Automated Content page. A deal you see in the app is information, not a contract with Chasr. If one is wrong, tap Report a deal on the bar's page.

A pass is for the person who activated it. Do not share, copy, or resell passes, or try to get around a deal's limits. We can cancel passes and points obtained that way.

Drinking

Chasr is about where to go, not how much to drink. Nothing in the app rewards you for drinking, and no point, level, or badge is measured in drinks. If you drink, pace yourself, look out for your friends, and never drive. Get a ride home instead.

Crowd levels, location, and friends

Crowd levels are an estimate built from how many people using the app are near a bar, blended with what a typical night there looks like. It is a signal, not a headcount, and it can be wrong.

Friends can see where you are out only if you choose to share and have not turned on ghost mode. Do not use Chasr to track anyone or to show up where you are not welcome. We will remove accounts that do.

Your content and conduct

You can post content in Chasr: reviews, messages in a crawl, friend requests, your handle, and a profile photo. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Our Community Guidelines are part of these terms and set out the rules in full. In short, do not post anything that is:

  • harassing, bullying, hateful, threatening, or aimed at hurting a person
  • sexual, sexually suggestive, or violent
  • someone else's private information, such as a phone number or address
  • promoting illegal activity, including underage drinking, drunk driving, or drugs
  • pressuring anyone to drink, or to drink more
  • false about a bar, or written to damage a competitor
  • spam, advertising, or someone else's work passed off as yours

Report and block. You can report any review, crawl message, profile, or friend request from inside the app, and block any account. Every report reaches a person. Blocking someone removes them from your friends and hides their crawl messages from you.

We act within 24 hours. We review every report. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the account that posted it can be suspended or removed. Threats, hate, and sexual content get no second chance.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store it, display it in the app and on chasr.club, and show it alongside the bar it is about. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

AI and automated content

Some deals are gathered by automated systems, and bar review summaries are written by AI. Both can be wrong. Our AI and Automated Content page explains where we use AI, what it is given, and how to report a mistake.

Using the app

We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use Chasr for your own nights out. Do not copy, scrape, or resell its data; do not reverse engineer it or use bots or scripts on it; do not interfere with how it works or try to get into accounts or data that are not yours.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, or ask us to do it; Delete your account has the steps. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, abuses deals or rewards, or puts other people at risk.

Disclaimers

Chasr is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise it will work without interruption, that crowd levels, deals, events, or summaries will be accurate, or that any feature will keep existing. We are not responsible for what bars do, for what other users post or do, or for anything that happens at a bar or on the way there.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Chasr is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim about Chasr is limited to $100. If something you post or do in breach of these terms leads to a claim against us, you are responsible for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.

If you got the app from Apple

These terms are between you and Chasr, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you can notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, which for Chasr is zero; beyond that Apple has no warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for handling any claim about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, or claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property; those come to us. You confirm you are not barred from receiving the app under United States law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Bars and venues

Chasr is free for guests. You never pay Chasr, nothing is sold in the app, and no payment goes through Apple. Bars pay us for deal activations and Premium on chasr.club, through Stripe.

If you run a bar and use our dashboard on chasr.club, our Bar Partner and Billing Terms also apply to you.

Where disputes go

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Anything we cannot sort out between us is handled in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.

Changes

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top, and we will tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. Using Chasr after that means you accept the new terms.

Contact

Questions about these terms, or something to report: message us in the app (Settings → Message Us) or use our contact page.
